Slovene Steelworks to be Privatised by 2003

Ljubljana, 6 November - By selling off the dependent companies of the Slovene Steelworks group, the government wants to boost the efficiency and competitiveness of Slovenia's steelworks, improve business results, and use the thus acquired purchase money to reduce the public debt resulting from the restructuring of the Slovene Steelworks group, it was said on Tuesday at the presentation of Slovene Steelworks' privatisation programme.
