Simobil's Appeal for UMTS Tender Review Dismissed by Review Commission

Ljubljana, 9 November - The senate of the national review commission unanimously decided on Thursday that mobile telecommunications provider Simobil's appeal to repeat the government's UMTS license tender is unfounded. The commission has not found any irregularities, said the senate's president Tomaz Vesel, explaining that it is now up to the government to decide whether the tender had come through despite the fact that only one company, the largest Slovene mobile telecommunications provider Mobitel, placed a bid.
