Central Bank Governor Stresses the Importance of Inflation Reduction Despite Expected Recession

Bled, 9 November - At the second day of the 30th traditional meeting of Slovene economists at Bled, Central Bank Governor Mitja Gaspari on Friday contrary to the majority of other economic experts even in the expected period of recession stressed the importance of reducing the inflation rate if Slovenia wishes to join the EU as early as 2004.
