Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 3 to 9 November

Ljubljana, 10 November - Slovene President Milan Kucan was in Vienna on Tuesday and Wednesday, for his first official visit to neighbouring Austria. In his talks with Austrian officials, it was established that some differences in opinions do exist, but that it is better to discuss their resolution, rather than pretend they do not exist. Also making headlines this week was the visit of Bulgarian Foreign Minister Izak Pasi and a U.S. delegation examining Slovenia's fulfillment of criteria for the Visa Waiver programme. Moreover, an exhibition of the works of Pop Art genius Andy Warhol drew large crowds to the Ljubljana Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.
