Government Sends Amended Budget Bill to Parliament

Brdo pri Kranju, 11 November - The government on Sunday afternoon passed amended budget bills for 2002 and 2003, taking into account fresh economic forecasts, which foresee a slowdown in economic growth. The government at its session at Brdo pri Kranju, NW Slovenia, opted for active anticyclical economic policy, which is to encourage domestic economic and investment activities and increase the economy's competitiveness. The amended bill has been sent to parliament.
