Government Should Clear Up Post War Cleansing and Take Care of Mass Graves, Says President Kucan
Ljubljana, 12 November - Slovene President Milan Kucan sent a letter to Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor on Monday saying that "now is a fresh opportunity to politically close the historic period of the Slovene nation during WWII and the post-war years." Kucan said that what has been done cannot be undone, but out of respect for the dead they should not be used for political disputes. The President expressed his support for Pahor's efforts regarding this issue.
