Ten EU Candidates Could Conclude Accession Negotiations in 2002, Says European Commission

Strasbourg, 13 November - The European Commission adopted on Tuesday the Enlargement Strategy Paper, a document in which it stated that next year's reports on individual countries' progress towards accession will already enable it to assess which countries meet the EU membership criteria.
