Mass Celebrations as Slovenia Qualifies for World Cup

Ljubljana, 14 November - Cities around Slovenia celebrated as the national football team qualified for its first ever World Cup. It was most festive in the capital, Ljubljana, where some 3,000 people gathered in a central square to watch the match on big screen, going wild as the referee blew the final whistle and the Slovenes booked a ticket to South Korea and Japan in 2002.
