Brussels, 16 November - Co-operation in justice and internal affairs is crucial for European safety, as well as democratic control, which has to be based on unified standards and must apply to both EU members and candidate countries alike, it was said Friday at a conference on European safety, which was also attended by Slovene Justice Minister Ivo Bizjak.
