CEFTA Signatories Adopt Joint Declaration on Further Liberalisation of Trade

Bucharest, 16 November - CEFTA officials who gathered for a summit in Bucharest signed Friday a joint declaration, stressing their readiness to further liberalise trade within the CEFTA zone, including in agriculture, as well as to take in new countries. However, trade in agricultural products would be liberalised only between the signatories which would be interested in it, meaning that further liberalisation would have to be agreed on a bilateral basis. The declaration also backs the U.S. in its fight against international terrorism.
