Question Time in Parliament: PM Fairly Optimistic about Bank Privatisation

Ljubljana, 20 November - The government is not behind schedule with bank privatisation, but the privatisation is being too much politicised; the loss of Slovenia's Health Insurance Institute (ZZZS) will be covered in the next two years through a rise in employers' mandatory contribution rate; and the recent success of Slovenia's football team, which Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek is very pleased with, is actually a very good promotion for Slovenia, and the government has allocated SIT 150 million (EUR 680,000) in the budget bill to help the municipality of Ljubljana fund the construction of a new central stadium.
