I'm Not Guilty, Says Owner of First Slovene Mad Cow
Ljubljana, 20 November - "I am not to blame for BSE and I do not know how the cow got sick," the farmer who raised the BSE-infected cow in the Upper Savinja Valley told STA on Tuesday in response to the news broken earlier today that a sample of one of his cows tested BSE positive. Brane Rihter said he had never fed the cow with bone meal, as he feeds his animals only with fresh grass, silage and hay.
