European Commission Forecasts Temporary Drop in Economic Growth for Slovenia
Brussels, 21 November - The European Commission downgraded its economic growth forecasts for Slovenia in its latest economic report on the EU applicant countries, released on Wednesday. The European Commission thus revised its GDP growth forecast for Slovenia to 3.7 percent in 2001. Furthermore, the report points to an improving current account deficit and persistent inflation.
