Beef Sales Down as Slovenia Comes to Grips with First Case of BSE

Ljubljana, 22 November - The confirmation of the first case of BSE in Slovenia has taken its toll on consumption, the Chair of the Slovene Agriculture Chamber Peter Vrisk told the press on Thursday, stressing that sales of beef are down 40 to 50 percent in the first three days of this week.
