Slovene Ombudsman Meets with European Counterparts in Switzerland

Zurich, 22 November - Attending the seventh round table of European Ombudsmen in Zuerich on Thursday, Slovene Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek presented results of an international conference on the relations between Ombudsmen and judiciary bodies which has recently been held in Ljubljana. The Ombudsmen also planned future regional meetings on different human rights topics and discussed the decisions taken at the October meeting of International Ombudsmen Institute (IOI) directors in Seul. European members of IOI also met on this occasion, confirming the appointment of the Slovene Ombudsman as the fourth European IOI director for Eastern and Central Europe.
