Slovene PM Pledges to Remind Italy of Obligations toward Minority

Trieste, 23 November - Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek met with representatives of the Slovene minority in Italy on the side of the Central European Initiative (CEI) summit in Trieste on Friday. Drnovsek said that he was informed on the latest situation of the minority and warned about its deterioration. "These issues have been brought to the attention of the Italian government several times already, but apparently we'll have to do it again," stressed the Prime Minister, adding that he would do so today if he gets a chance, since these are "serious matters".
