Ljubljana, 25 November - BSE suspicion in Slovenia was confirmed on Tuesday by the Swiss laboratory in Bern. The owner of the cow denied having fed it bone meal. Experts are searching for potential causes of the disease, not excluding sporadic emergence of the disease. Shares of Slovene brewer Pivovarna Union were very hot this week, as Belgium's Interbrew put forward a bid for a takeover, while the largest Slovene brewer Pivovarna Lasko counterbade on the offer. The decision lies in the hands of the Slovene Capital Pension Fund (KAD) and the Slovene Restitution Fund (SOD), together holding a 22.6-percent stake in Union.
