State Secretary Tovornik Visits American Slovenes

Cleveland, 25 November - During her visit to the U.S., Slovene State Secretary for Slovenes Abroad Magdalena Tovornik stressed several times that Slovenia wants to join the EU and that it needs the support of American Slovenes for NATO membership. Tovornik met with Ohio Senator of Slovene origin Georg Voinovich (R) and Avgust Pust, the head of the office for multi-cultural and international co-operation at the Ohio Governor's Office, in Cleveland on Saturday local time.
