Government and Mobitel Fail to Sign UMTS License Agreement

Ljubljana, 26 November - Information Society Minister Pavel Gantar and Mobitel manager Anton Majzelj failed to sign a contract on the UMTS third generation mobile telephony license on Monday. The signing, scheduled for today, was postponed as Mobitel's competitor Simobil filed a claim for a tender revision to the government on Friday. The government has to make a decision on the claim before it signs the license agreement, so it already began a correspondence session that is to end on Tuesday, said the Information Society Ministry.
