Highest State Honour for Scientific Contributions Goes to Literary Theorist

Ljubljana, 26 November - The 2001 Zois award for life work in science, the highest Slovene honour, was conferred upon Janko Kos for his work in comparative literature and literary theory on Monday evening. The ceremony was also attended by Slovene President Milan Kucan, the president of the Slovene Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU), France Bernik, Ljubljana University Chancellor Joze Mencinger, while Education Minister Lucija Cok delivered the honorary speech.
