Additional Round of EU Accession Negotiations Before the End of 2001?

Ljubljana, 29 November - Belgium's EU presidency has hinted at the possibility of holding an additional round of EU accession negotiations just before the end of this year in a bid to do away with some backlog which has occurred during the Belgium's presidency. This extra round of talks would give EU candidate countries a chance to close additional chapters, Slovenia's chief EU negotiator Janez Potocnik told a session of the parliamentary commission for European affairs on Thursday.
