Central Bank: Great Influx of Foreign Currency Will Not Affect Inflation Reduction

Ljubljana, 29 November - Presenting the guidelines for Slovenia's monetary policy in 2002 and 2003, Bank of Slovenia Governor Mitja Gaspari said on Thursday that until Slovenia becomes a full-fledged EU member, the central bank's monetary policy will be targeted at controlling the basic monetary aggregates, preserving the controlled floating exchange rate and neutralising the great influx of cash caused by the exchange of European currencies into euros.
