Slovenia to Ban the Import of Austrian Electricity as a Countermeasure

Ljubljana, 29 November - In response to the latest measure taken by the Austrian energy agency E-control, which banned the import of electricity from Slovenia as of 1 December, Slovene State Secretary in charge of energy, Robert Golob, on Thursday announced a countermeasure. Slovenia has no other choice if it wants to follow its own legislation, which is in this field in line with the EU body of laws, said Golob, explaining that the Slovene energy law clearly sets down the principle of reciprocity in the trade with electricity.
