Slovenia Tops EU Candidates in Economic Indices, Says Finance Minister Rop
Brussels, 4 December - EU finance ministers called on their 13 EU applicant countries' counterparts to boost structural reforms and implement macroeconomic policies that would strengthen economic growth, so that the candidates would sooner catch up with the EU, said Slovene Finance Minister Anton Rop, who attended the meeting on Tuesday. According to him, Slovenia is the first among the candidates as regards progress in real convergence and most of the economic indices.
