Slovene Writers' Association Appoints New President

Ljubljana, 4 December - Tone Persak is the new president of the Slovene Writers Association, was announced on Tuesday. Persak's priorities during his chairmanship until 2003 will be the position of the Slovene literature in Slovenia's new social circumstances, the future of the book, the Slovene literature in school curricula, language issues and co-operation of the Association with similar organisations abroad.
