Budget Implementation Act Adopted in Parliament

Ljubljana, 5 December - Despite obstruction of the opposition Social Democrats (SDS), New Slovenia (NSi) and the Slovene National Party (SNS), the act on the implementation of Slovenia's 2002 and 2003 budgets was given the green light in Parliament on Wednesday. The passing of the act wraps up the adoption of the budget legislation and is to come into effect as of 1 January 2002, together with the implementation of the budget adopted at the end of last week.
