Review of the Slovene Sporting Scene - December 2000 to November 2001

Ljubljana, 6 December - Slovenia has once again lived up to its reputation of being a small country capable of achieving great sporting successes. Just like two years ago, when a little-known group of footballers forming the national side managed to suprise most and qualify for the Euro 2000, it was the Slovene football side that can be given much of the praise for making the world stand up and take notice in 2001.
