Applicant Countries Continue to Stress Their Wish to be Involved in EU Reforms

Brussels, 6 December - The future European Union treaty which is expected to be the result of the next inter-governmental conference - the guidelines for which will be laid by the EU leaders at the upcoming summit in Laeken - will also have to be endorsed by the future EU members or the current applicant countries. This was stressed by the 13 speakers of parliament from the EU applicant countries at the conclusion of their meeting with European Parliament President in Brussels on Thursday.
