Slovenia Prepared to Accept Transitional Ban on Free Flow of Labour Force

Ljubljana, 6 December - Slovenia is prepared to accept the EU negotiating position calling for a transitional period on the free flow of the labour force, however, under the condition of reciprocity. The government adopted amendments to the negotiating standpoint on this issue on Thursday - until now Slovenia rejected any transitional ban on the free flow of the labour force - while the amendments have already been endorsed by the parliamentary committee for foreign affairs. The amended negotiating standpoint has already been forwarded to Brussels as Slovenia aims to close the chapter at the next round of EU accession talks in December.
