Vecer: Why Is Drnovsek Protesting?
Maribor, 11 December - Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek's criticism of an appeal made by a group of MPs who urged two state corporations, namely the Pension Fund Management (KAD) and the Slovene Reimbursement Company (SOD), not to sell their stakes in a leading Slovene brewer to a foreign brewer, is commented by the daily Vecer in Tuesday's edition. At a press conference on Monday Drnovsek thought the appeal was "a serious interference of politics in an economic and business decision of the private sector". KAD and SOD hold a 22.6- percent stake in Union between them.
