Slovenia Prepares to Adopt Stance on Agriculture Quotas

Ljubljana, 12 December - Production quotas and reference quantities in agriculture are based on the production statistically proven in the reference period between 1995 and 1999, with possible additional small quantities, Slovene Agriculture Minister Franci But told the parliamentary agriculture committee on Wednesday, upon presentation of additional clarifications of Slovenia's standpoint in EU negotiations. Minister But added that the negotiations on the quotas would be difficult, especially the reference quantities of milk.
