Ancient Roman Settlement Excavated in Slovenia; More Amazing Finds Expected in Future
Ljubljana, 12 December - Archeologists came up with some amazing discoveries during the last two months on the construction sites of a future motorway in southeastern Slovenia, very near the Slovene-Croatian border. The excavations, which wrapped up for this year on Wednesday, turned up a large 1st century Roman rural settlement and many important artifacts, said Dr Philip Mason, who is in charge of the excavations.
