Austrian Constitutional Court Lowers Threshold for Bilingual Signposts in Carinthia

Vienna, 13 December - Austria's Constitutional Court ruled on Thursday that bilingual signposts must be put in place in every locality in the Austrian province of Carinthia, in which the percentage of Slovene population stands at more than ten percent. The existing 1976 act on ethnic communities sets the share for bilingual signposts in Carinthia at 25 percent.
