Slovenia Receives Funds for Biomass Use from Global Environment Facility

Ljubljana, 13 December - Slovenia will receive US$ 4.3 million of non-refundable funds from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) after Slovene Environment Minister Janez Kopac and representative of the UN Development Programme, Ben Slay, signed a contract on Thursday. The money will be used for a programme aimed at boosting the use of wood biomass and cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
