Benchmark Index Gains 19 Percent in 2001

Ljubljana, 31 December - The benchmark SBI 20 index at the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed the year at 2,151.59 points, thus recording an annual gain of 343.65 points or 19 percent. The year was a winning one for all major indices, with the authorised investment companies PIX index gaining 4.42 percent to close the year at 1,588.02 points.
