Ljubljana, 31 December - I view the year that awaits us with tranquility and confidence, Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek writes in his traditional New Year's address to the nation. The Prime Minister adds that his goal is to keep Slovenia an oasis of peace and tranquility for as long as possible. However, he warns that the world faces many challenges and potential for catastrophes in the upcoming year.
