Ljubljana/Koper/Maribor, 1 January - Towns around Slovenia held outdoor celebrations on New Year's Eve with fireworks and musical performances. Around 20,000 people gathered on the squares of Ljubljana to watch the seven-minute fireworks displayed at the Ljubljana Castle.
