Ljubljana, 13 January - This week's battle in the "brewers' war" was won by Belgium's Interbrew, which paid SIt 90,000 (EUR 406) per share of Slovene brewer Pivovarna Union to acquire the 10.3-percent stake owned by the Pension Fund Management (KAD). On a different note, the government dismissed director of the Slovene Reimbursement Company (SOD), who single-handedly sold SOD's 12.15-percent stake in Union to Interbrew rival Pivovarna Lasko and was therefore ousted by the SOD supervisory board.
