Pique Reiterates Concern Over Israeli Demolition of Palestinian Homes

Maribor, 14 January - Prior to leaving for the Middle East, Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Pique, whose country is currently presiding over the EU, reiterated his concern over the Israeli Army's demolition of Palestinian houses in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Attending a gathering of senior Slovene diplomats in Maribor on Monday, Pique criticised the Israeli measures as an inppropriate way of protecting the Israeli state, as they have exactly the opposite effect.
