Open Debate on Slovenia's Bid to Join NATO as Slovenia Awaits NATO Invitation

Ljubljana, 15 January - A public presentation of opinions on Slovenia's integration into NATO will begin in the National Assembly on Wednesday, with parliamentarians and government officials as well as representatives of other institutions, various groups of interest and experts outlining their views on the pros and cons of the country's aspiration to get admitted to the Alliance. The debate, entitled "Slovenia ahead of the NATO Summit in Prague", is expected to run throughout the day, and might even be carried on, if necessary, on Thursday.
