Politics from Other Countries Must Not Meddle with Slovene Banks, Minister Rop Says
Ljubljana, 15 January - "It is our task to prevent that after the state withdraws from Slovenia's two largest banks, politics from any other country would start interfering with our banking system," Finance Minister Tone Rop addressed public concerns regarding the privatisation of Slovene banks at a panel hosted by Radio Slovenija, which was also attended by former Economics Minister Joze Mencinger and chairman of NLB, Slovenia's largest bank, Marko Voljc.
