NATO - Slovenia: SNS President Opposes NATO Membership, Coalition MP Has Doubts

Ljubljana, 16 January - The first critical remarks on Slovenia's NATO integration were voiced at Wednesday's public exchange of views on NATO membership by President of the opposition SNS, who opposes membership of any military alliance, and believes that the citizens' will should be checked at referendum. "If nothing else, they will pay for the wrong decision themselves," Jelincic said.
