Slovene Party in Carinthia Condemns Attempts at Hindering Minority Rights
Klagenfurt, 16 January - The United Party, Slovene minority party in the Austrian province of Carinthia, condemned on Wednesday the incident that took place last Saturday in the Carinthian town of Globasnica following a Slovene ball held there. Commenting the incident in which unidentified persons damaged eleven cars, Andrej Wakounig, president of the United List, said that the episode was an obvious attempt to prevent the Slovene minority from asserting its rights.
