Delo on the Release from Custody of the Head of a Gang Smuggling Immigrants

Ljubljana, 17 January - The daily Delo on Thursday comments on the release from custody of Josip Loncaric, the chief organiser of an international criminal cartel involved in smuggling immigrants from the east across Slovenia to Italy. The cartel broken by the Slovene police in November 2000 was one of the largest organisations of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe.
