Slovenia and Spain Have Shared Interest in Regional Aid, Says Spanish Ambassador

Ljubljana, 17 January - Slovenia and Spain have to join in their efforts to obtain regional aid from the EU budget after the EU has enlarged. Given the existing regulations, these two countries, whose level of development is somewhat comparable, could lose their right to regional aid due to what is called a statistical effect, was said by Spanish Ambassador to Slovenia Luis Felipe Fernandez de la Pena at a session of the parliamentary European affairs commission on Thursday.
