Second Case of Mad Cow Disease in Slovenia Confirmed

Ljubljana, 18 January - The presence of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) in a cow from the northeast of Slovenia has been confirmed by tests carried out in a laboratory in Bern, Switzerland, in what is the second case of made cow disease in Slovenia, the Slovene Veterinary Administration (VURS) said on Friday.
