Interbrew Has Not Realised its Goal of Acquiring Union, Pivovarna Lasko CEO Tells Delo

Ljubljana, 19 January - After it became unofficially clear that Belgium's Interbrew, although raising its takeover price for a third time, failed to acquire more than 40 percent of brewer Pivovarna Lasko, Tone Turnsek, CEO of the Pivovarna Lasko brewery, Interbrew's rival for the takeover of Union, feels that "Interbrew has not realised its goal, which means that our idea of uniting the Slovene beverage producers, which is still topical, has won in a way," Turnsek said in an interview for the Saturday edition of the daily Delo.
