Introduction of Monolingual IDs Narrows Minority's Rights, Says Slovene Living in Italy

Trieste, 20 January - A representative of the Slovene minority in Italy on Sunday for STA commented the introduction of a decree in four communities in the Trieste region which allows the possibility that identity cards can be released only in Italian and not strictly in a bilingual form as was the practice so far. This is a move that narrows the minority's acquired rights, Sergij Pahor told STA on Sunday.
