Slovene Gov't Increases Prices of Basic Telephone Services

Ljubljana, 24 January - Prices of basic fixed line telephone services are to go up as of 1 February as part of harmonisation with EU telecommunications prices, the Slovene government decided at Thursday's session. Thus fixed line domestic calls are to go up by 19.6 percent to SIT 5.25 (EUR 0.02) per minute, VAT excluded, while the monthly subscription is to cost SIT 1,950 (EUR 8.77) plus VAT, up 35.4 percent.
