Higher Court Confirms Release of Josip Loncaric from Custody

Ljubljana, 24 January - The Ljubljana Higher Court on Thursday confirmed the decision of the District Court to release Josip Loncaric, the alleged head of a criminal cartel that dealt with the trafficking of illegal immigrants across Slovenia, from custody. Loncaric had previously spent more than a year in detention while awaiting his trial.
